Antique Bakery

I just to know about Antique Bakery while surfing around. :) I am not going to say much about the plot except that it has a gay theme. It's not what I call sleazy but it just makes the show more interesting and funny! Ha! I like the patisserie played by Kim Jae Wook best. He is a good person with a demonic charm. The bodyguard is really cute and clumsy but cool when he doesn't move. Ha... Joo Ji Hoon from Princess Hours plays the owner of the shop but he hates cakes due to a dark past...

Storm Warriors

When the first Feng Yun movie was made, I was in secondary school and I remember liking the song, Chong- er Fei which is sang by Ekin Cheung and I too, like other girls, fell in love with his silky hair.

I watched the sequel to the movie yesterday and was very disappointed. Firstly, I felt like I was thrown into the middle of a movie when it is only the start! The setting was introduced with a few lines that appear and disappear so quickly before I could digest what happen. The next thing I know is that I see Ren Da Hua as Lord Godless and Aaron being chained up. -___-||| (What happened?)

Another thing that bothers me is that the sound effects of the movie was so loud that I had to covered my ears at some points of the movie and the sound remains loud for the rest of the movie so I wasn't really enjoying myself from the start. But I guess this has to do with the movie theater settings right? I have no idea...

I wished Ren Da Hua’s Lord Godless didn’t have to die so soon and so easily. I expect him to last till towards the end of the movie which by the time, Feng has managed to control his inner demons.

There were 2 very interesting plot in the movie – Lord Godless wanting to conquer China and Feng turning evil. They could have just focus on fighting the villain in this movie and fighting the inner devils in the next sequel. In this way, Lord Godless could have a more developed character and I think he would be interesting character. He is manipulating and sly, one that would kill his son to have the whole country to himself. People are always curious about the villains.

Tell the truth… The part where Feng turns evil is quite snore material. I saw a few people leaving the theater after Lord Godless went to his find God.

Ekin’s Feng morphed into a spideehulk, a crossbred between spiderman and hulk haa... When Feng’s skin was covered in black (due to “the demonic power entering him”), I thought of Spider Man 3. Then he turned slightly green and was running around with only his pants on, I thought of Hulk. Haa…And his eyes... Naruto anyone? Shenanigan eyes.

The ladies in the show... sigh... Cai Zhuo Yan's role was to puke blood, look vulnerable and the other lady's role was to ensure that Aaron gets the hankie on which she has done an embroidery of his name. I don't mind lovey- dopey scenes but its kinda boring here... Heh... You put 2 hulks in a movie, you would expect the girls to watch too right? You need more sweet and romantic scenes like in the first one! (Till now I can still recall the scene where fireflies were dancing in a cave as my favourite song plays in the background. Aww...)

But I really like the cast in this movie (I like the actor acting as Nameless and the one acting as the emperor), just that there is a need for a balance between the fighting scenes and the dialogue parts.

Dad just gave me a pep talk. I think he sense my lack of enthusiasm towards my studies. He told me the the story of KFC founder, about how he persevere and end up suceeding.

He also talked about failure... He said failing doesn't mean losing everything. At the very least, you still have your own dear life.

Last Moments

Another year is coming to an end... I always felt there is a touch of sadness in the air even though "Merry" Christmas is approaching... I don’t know if you felt the same too... For me it is the thought of losing another year... It just felt like something died.

A year has died.

Decembers always felt like the last moments of the year. Slowly... Approaching death. I know I sound morbid.

It must be the doings of the cold and gray weather.

Amidst all the craziness in life, I managed to do fun stuff too... Like reading Tiddler to the kid. They really enjoy this book. I had fun too, encouraging them to look at the details in the pictures. I also managed to get Aranzi Aronzo book at the library. I decide to do "haha bunny" as it looks the simplest to do and I have some felt at hand which is suitable for this toy. The book is great! Simple instructions and they have some funny conversation of the toy at the side too.

Saw this pretty cat in NUS forum. Its really cute. :DDD I placed my friend's phone in front of it but it kept walking around. Then when I put down the phone, it pause. I tried to take another shot and it turned its head. -___-|||

I am still very much disabled without my handphone camera and I feeling so sian...

I am hooked to the music, "A Quai" lately... I just dig out my CD for Turn Left, Turn Right and started playing the music over and over again... I went online to read more about the composer and that's how I came across Amelie. I went to youtube to search for the trailer only, to find a playlist for the whole movie! Woot...

So here I am, watching *some* movies on youtube lately...

It started with...
Amelie.
French+ cute actress+ whimsical plot+ fabulous music+ all you need is love = You have to love this film. I need to own this film DVD. French is such a beautiful language. I have the impulse to learn French and visit the set after watching this movie.

then I also saw...
Ip Man.
I realised Donnie Yen is cute. :D The fighting scenes were superb! I am sold. I am his fan now. Wah haa...

then it continued with...
Mad Detective.
I like Liu Qing Yun even though he is not the idol kind of handsome, he is of substance! He can act! I remember him acting in a really sad show called 新不了情... Lots of tears rolling down while watching. This time round, he is in a thriller. I was closing my eyes for some moments cause it is just so scary but nevertheless I like the storyline and his acting.

Gosh I need to stop... watching... youtube...

I really like the art work in the animation. So often we feel like the girl in the animation ya? Getting misunderstood, wanting to explain only to be ignored, wanting individuality only to conform. Ignoring the problems faced by the world, being indifferent to them.

this song is written by eason! love it. out of the album, two songs were more memorable and they are this song and 在你身边 (i thought this song sounded like a national day song at the front).

apparently for this album, he has invited many singers who are composers themselves to write a song for him. some of them include soda green's qing feng, fan xiao xuan and Singapore very own tanya chua. all these singers have have strong characteristic to their music and somehow... the songs they wrote for eason, override eason's own style. the two songs i mentioned earlier are more of his type.

hmm... for the moment i think i am a little disappointed with the album, i think i shld give it a few more listens...

Believe
